Ugo Dal Lago

Associate Professor at the University of Bologna

Ugo Dal Lago is Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2015 and a faculty member of the Computer Science Lab at the same institution since 2006. Before that, he has been a Marie-Curie Fellow at Université Denis-Diderot in Paris. He has been involved in many international research projects, and co-authored more than 80 publications which appeared in international journals and conference proceedings. He is the winner of the prize for the best italian doctoral thesis in theoretical computer science (2006), of the Kleene Award (2006) and of the prize for the best young researcher in theoretical computer science (2015). His research interests are in programming language semantics, probabilistic and quantum computation, and logic in computer science. He is the principal investigator of the ERC consolidator grant “DIAPASoN”.
